About OnVerdict

Most tech review sites won't give you a straight answer. They'll lay out the specs, list the pros and cons in perfectly balanced columns, and leave you exactly where you started: confused. We built OnVerdict because we think you deserve better than that.

Who We Are

OnVerdict is an independent Apple product review and comparison site founded by a tech enthusiast who spent one too many evenings scrolling through 3,000-word reviews that somehow never managed to say "just buy this one." We got tired of the hedging. We got tired of the "it depends on your workflow" non-answers. So we started writing the reviews we actually wanted to read.

We're a small, opinionated team. We don't have a corporate sponsor breathing down our necks, and we don't soften our verdicts to keep PR contacts happy. If Apple ships something underwhelming, we'll say so. If a Windows laptop genuinely beats a MacBook for a particular use case, we'll say that too.

What We Cover

Our core focus is Apple products — iPhones, Macs, AirPods, iPads, and Apple Watch — but we don't live in a vacuum. When it makes sense, we compare Macs head-to-head with Windows PCs from Dell, HP, Microsoft Surface, and Lenovo. We also cover iPhones against flagship Android phones like Samsung Galaxy. The point is always the same: help you figure out what's actually worth your money.

Our content includes detailed product comparisons, single-product deep dives, "Best X for Y" buying guides, and trend analysis drawn from what real people are searching for and talking about online.

Our Interactive Tools

We don't just write articles. We build tools that help you make decisions with numbers, not vibes. Our interactive calculators include:

  • Apple Addiction Test — Find out just how deep into the ecosystem you've fallen (and what you're missing).
  • Upgrade Calculator — Input your current device, trade-in value, and priorities to get a data-driven upgrade score.
  • Apple Tax Calculator — See exactly how much premium you're paying compared to the competition.
  • MacBook RAM Regret Calculator — Will you regret choosing 8GB over 16GB two years from now? We'll run the numbers.
  • Mac Suitability Test — Not sure if a Mac is even right for you? Six questions, one honest answer.

Every tool is shareable — your results are encoded in the URL, so you can send them to a friend or post them on social media.

Our Comparison Widget

At the bottom of every comparison article, you'll find our interactive comparison widget. Pick any two products and get an instant side-by-side spec breakdown with the differences highlighted. Green means better, and we're not shy about telling you which side wins.

How We Make Money

Transparency matters, so here it is plainly: OnVerdict earns revenue through two channels.

First, we display ads via Google AdSense. These are the standard display ads you see across the web. We try to keep them from being obnoxious, but they help keep the lights on.

Second, we participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When we link to a product on Amazon and you make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Every affiliate link on our site is clearly marked with "(paid link)" so you always know what's what.

Here's the part that actually matters: our opinions are our own. We earn the same commission regardless of which product you buy, so we have no incentive to push one over another. If the cheaper option is better for you, that's what we'll recommend — even if it means a smaller commission for us.

Our Editorial Standards

Every article on OnVerdict follows a few non-negotiable rules:

  • We start with a clear verdict, not a wishy-washy summary.
  • Specs come from official sources — Apple, manufacturer sites, or verified benchmarks.
  • We disclose every affiliate link with "(paid link)" labeling.
  • If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and promptly.
  • We never accept payment for favorable reviews. Ever.
